Alpine Civil Engineering Consultants Ltd., in collaboration with Small Housing BC, supported the City of Quesnel in the comprehensive modernization of its Official Community Plan and correlated Zoning Bylaw updates. Working closely with City staff and the project team, Alpine helped develop a practical planning framework that aligns with current provincial legislation, supports housing diversity, and provides a clear foundation for long-term community growth.

Alpine provided expertise in municipal planning, land use policy, governance, infrastructure capacity analysis, developable lands assessments, and regulatory implementation. Alpine contributed throughout the project by developing policy, supporting zoning modernization, preparing regulatory content, and integrating technical planning analysis into the City’s long-term vision. The resulting framework provides implementable policies, modern land use regulations, and a stronger foundation for sustainable growth, efficient municipal decision-making, and future development.
